Green Product Innovation Institute, Inc. and Cradle to Cradle™ in Action

Ahhh, how do I love thee…

The Cradle to Cradle framework is like the left hand in a Chopin, Nocturn, Opus 27 #2 piano solo. The right hand is the sound of a healthy planet. Together they make the most beautiful music.

From their About page:

The Green Products Innovation Institute Inc. (GPII) is a non-profit organization created to bring about a large scale transformation in the way we make the things we make.  They promote an innovation-oriented model for eliminating toxic chemicals and other negative environmental impacts. The GPII prescribes a set of design principles, based on the laws of nature, to help businesses create products that are safe for people and the environment. This rethinking of how we design, manufacture, use and reuse materials will spur a new era of innovation, simultaneously driving economic, ecological and social prosperity.

The GPII extends the success of the Cradle to Cradle™ framework, and makes it accessible to more industries than ever before. We are eager to collaborate with academia, NGOs, and forward-thinking industry leaders. We are developing partnerships with licensed assessors, creating open innovation tools, and working with government to bring Cradle to Cradle thinking to a much broader audience.
