Let’s be honest. Girls like to look pretty and it has been this way since the first cave-woman stuck a flower in her bearskin dress and the first cave man thought it was kinda cute. But, somewhere along the way some started cashing in on the natural female instinct and viciously exploiting female insecurities. We’ve ended up with toxic beauty potions instead of something healthy and playful.
Anyway, I just want to pass on the word that some of the leading organizations involved in sustainability in the beauty industry will be gathering at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit, taking place at Grand Hyatt Hotel, New York, 24-26th March 2010.
Key issues on the North American summit agenda include role of eco-labels, ethical partnerships, sustainable packaging innovations, the potential of social media marketing, sustainable brand development, consumer insights into sustainable products, ethical marketing challenges, green chemistry, formulation & technical challenges, novel ingredients and investment issues.
