Mod Green Pod’s luscious patterns are printed on upholstery-weight organic cotton canvas most suitable for home textile projects. They are woven and printed in the United States. “Doing so also helps minimize our company’s carbon footprint by reducing energy expenditures on shipping. Our non-toxic pigments are imported from Germany, as we have found these to produce the highest-quality product while complying with the GOTS standards.”
Nancy Mims is Co-founder and Creative Director of Mod Green Pod. Prior to Mod Green Pod, Nancy was a highly successful textile print designer for nearly a decade. Here’s a picture of her beautiful home from http://www.designspongeonline.com
Valerie Pearcy joined the company in July 2008. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, she grew up steeped in the home furnishings industry and focused her higher education on journalism and design history.
Lisa Mims co-founded Mod Green Pod during the summer of 2005 with her sister-in-law Nancy after they had both struggled to find home textiles that matched their taste for high design with their desire for a healthier home –and planet — for their children. A graduate of Dartmouth’s MBA program and an alumna of Chase Manhattan’s and Kate Spade’s finance departments, Lisa played a key role in building the business foundation from which Mod Green Pod continues to bloom.
