Hello and welcome!
This blog is for all people who want a healthy planet and aspire to healthy living. It is a story about a better future and a rebuttal to some kinds of unnecessary suffering.
My name is Heather Ferris. Heather’s short bio
It is an incredible time to be alive. People around the world are connecting through the internet and supporting each other in the fight for a better world. We are in a renaissance of innovation due to the information sharing. We are making science and technology breakthroughs around the world at a breathtaking rate. There is and always will be terrible suffering in our world. But, we have made incredible strides, lengthening human life span, decreasing global violence, curing terrible diseases, advancing civil rights law, and more. We will win this fight against the toxic pollutants in our environment.
“I believe our grandchildren will look back on us now and marvel that our economy was once dependant on chemicals that were killing the planet and killing ourselves and they will think of it as unthinkable.”
Sandra Steingraber, Living Downstream.
Unnecessary toxic exposure includes exposure to chemicals that effect reproductive health and fetal brain development, and/or are known and suspected carcinogens. Many illnesses and disabilities that are linked to toxic exposure (prenatal and other) CAN be prevented. Changing our habits may seem like a huge inconvenience. It is not always easy to tell what labels are dishonest and misleading. However, in the end, learning about and changing to healthier habits is highly worth our while. The goal of the Nurture Nature Project is to make your transition that little bit easier. See: Truth About the Chemicals in Our Products
Protecting life on earth requires us to go beyond systems that merely minimize damage and switch to systems that leave our planet and people restored to their natural healthy state, or, a higher, better state. Regenerative Systems are sustainable world improvement systems.

NOTE 1: This blog is about protecting and nurturing our loved ones by informing and encouraging safer and healthier choices. Although sometimes I write about products, including toxin-free cosmetics, this blog is NOT about acquiring more material stuff, feeding vanity, or exploiting any obsession with the fountain of youth. (hard knocks I know! ; )
NOTE 2: My opinion cannot be bought. I write about products that meet the Nurture Nature Project standard for protection of people and earth. If you have a great, truly toxin-free, truly effective, truly eco-intelligent product or have heard about a new one, email me! I am more than happy to spread the word about exceptional products and companies!
The Nurture Nature Project is dedicated to my brother John.
Love is all that matters in the end and
love is kind.

Posted by Liz | January 24, 2012, 10:06 pmMy name is Bill Hawthorne, and I represent maacenter.org, a leading web resource for asbestos exposure and mesothelioma cancer information. Our organization is dedicated to increasing awareness of the terrible health consequences of asbestos exposure through the distribution of the best informational materials and public outreach efforts.
The promotion of how buildings should now be built using green products to avoid asbestos and mesothelioma as well as the awareness of past buildings and preventative steps in avoiding asbestos exposure are extremely important.
Posted by Bill Hawthorne | June 24, 2009, 11:48 amHi Bill, I have added your link to the Survivor Resources tab above. I had a family member who died from asbestos exposure. So, I am grateful for the work you do and happy to add your link to this site.
Posted by Heather | March 3, 2010, 4:22 pmThanks for the good work and helpful info. If the human 1st world can get a more balanced outlook , we’ll all be okay. Less greed, less wasteful consumerism, more peaceful intelligence. Or something like that !
Thank you…. live long , and go in peace.
