The Story of Tom’s Shoes
From their website
Giving Is Catching On…
The TOMS mission of giving shoes has attracted other brands, resulting in unique and successful collaborations. Ralph Lauren sold co-branded Polo Rugby TOMS, giving a matched pair with every pair sold. Element Skateboards has issued limited edition TOMS + Element shoes as well as a One for One skateboard. With every skateboard purchased, one will be given to a child at the Indigo Skate Camp in Durban, South Africa.

The concept of Social Entrepreneurs is a brilliant idea. Linking social welfare with competition means that companies are going to be striving for the best outcome. I work for a company that was inspired by Blake Mycoskie and Tom’s Shoes called MoralEyes, that is embracing social entrepreneurship. MoralEyes is wholesale/retail reading glasses company, and we donate a pair through New Jersey based charity New Eyes for the Needy for every pair that we sell. We have found a way to help thousands of people, and within the first few weeks of our company’s existence we have donated 3800 pairs. Aside from being sold in stores nationwide our glasses are also available on Amazon and our website, MoralEyes.com
