ThePlastiki — May 07, 2010 — The Plastiki crew gather supplies for the second leg of their mighty journey
One of the goals for the Plastiki was to design a vessel which is sustainable throughout (solar panels, hydroponic garden, composting toilet!), to not only show waste as a resource but create templates for use beyond the expidition. srPET, the material that the main boat structure is made from, was created by Smarter Planet and is a revolutionary material in a boat.
